March 2014 Ipsy Bag

This month's theme for Ipsy is "Destination Beauty" getting us ready for spring. If your not familiar with Ipsy it is a $10 monthly beauty subscription that delivers 4 - 5  deluxe samples or full sized beauty products in a cute makeup bag. The products are based on a beauty quiz you take when you first sign up. This is what I received in my bag this month:

This months bag was designed by artist Klari Reis, and is the first of many in Ipsy's new Artist series.   

A lot of the bags have been having the Ipsy logo. In my opinion this is something I like.

The first product in my bag was this mini Flawless Beauty Primer by Pixi which retails for $9. 

The second product was this NYX Love in Rio trio in the "The Brazilian" which retails for $6. The first shade is matte, but the other two have shimmer.

The third product is this Chella Eyeliner Pen in "Indigo Blue" which retails for $24. 

The last product is this bareMinerals marvelous Moxie lipstick in "Get Ready" which is about half of the full size so it would be about $9.

Overall the total value of my bag was $48 all for only $10 (including tax and shipping) and I liked everything. I just really enjoy receiving a cute pink package in the mail every month filled with beauty products. I have been with Ipsy since May of 2013 and would definitely recommend it. Milani Lip Intense Liquid Color's

A few weeks ago I purchased one of the new Milani Lip Intense Liquid Color's in the shade Pink Rave and I absolutely fell in love with it that I had to go back and get the rest of the shades.

These four new lip products claim to have the shine of a lip gloss but the longevity of a lipstick. They come with a sponge-tip applicator which is a big plus for me. They do have a scent, but it's a sweet smell. In my opinion they smell like brown sugar which doesn't bother me at all. All four colors are bright and pigmented so if your not a fan of a bold lip you might not like these. 

The first one is Extreme Red and it is exactly that a hot red.

The second one is Pink Rave and it is a hot pink.

The third one is Fiery Coral and it is a hot coral pink.

The fourth one is Violet Addict and it is a pinky violet .

All these glide on super smooth and are opaque with just one swipe. They are not super lasting so you will need to reapply throughout the day. They are very shiny like a gloss, but they are not sticky or tacky what so ever. They retail for $6.49 on the Milani website, but are also available at select Walgreens and CVS. I would definitely recommend for you to try at least one of these.

Milani Rose Powder Blush Collection (Limited Edition)

Yesterday I decided to stop by a Walgreens that I rarely go to and to my surprise they had a fully stocked display of the new Milani Rose powder blushes. I wasn't expecting to see these at the store until March so when I saw them I didn't hesitate to get all four shades.

Not only is the packaging of these blushes absolutely gorgeous, but the pigmentation is really great. The colors are all so vibrant and blend really well. They are a little bit chalky, but if applied lightly with a blush brush that is not an issue. They come in four different shades and are completely matte.

This first blush is Coral Cove (with and without flash) and it is a bright coral. 

This second blush is Lady Rogue (with and without flash) and it is a hot red. 

The third blush is Love Potion (with and without flash) and it is a dark rose.

The fourth and final blush is Tea Rose (with and without flash) and it is a light rose.

I am so glad I was able to get my hands on these limited edition blushes before they sold out. They were $7.49 at Walgreens, but if I didn't find them at the store I was planning on ordering them directly from the Milani website where they are listed for $7.99.
